Female Government Employee In Her 30s Sexually Harassed By Department Supervisor

$275,000 – Female Government Employee in Her 30s Sexually Harassed by Department Supervisor

Plaintiff alleged that she was sexually pursued and harassed against her will by her supervisor over a year long period. Despite numerous complaints to the public entity, it took insufficient action to stop the harassment.

Defendant claimed that it did take sufficient steps to prevent the harassment and that Plaintiff was overstating the extent of the sexual harassment. Winer, McKenna, Burritt & Tillis LLP was retained and argued that Plaintiff’s version of events was believable and that she suffered a significant psychological injury as a result of the sexual harassment due to the employer’s failure to stop the harassment after it was put on notice.

RESULT: $275,000 settlement on behalf of Plaintiff.
