$300,000 - Woman in Her 30s Claimed Sexual Harassment And Retaliation Against Supervisor with Whom She Had A Prior Consensual Relationship
Plaintiff alleged that after terminating a consensual sexual relationship with her supervisor, his behavior turned aggressive and harassing and bordered on stalking. As result of defendant's conduct, Plaintiff was forced to resign.
The Defense claimed that Plaintiff was the one harassing defendant and that she lacked credibility because she entered into the consensual relationship with defendant while she was married.
Winer, McKenna & Burritt, LLP was retained and through discovery and investigation, turned up evidence that although Plaintiff's relationship with defendant was once consensual, defendant in fact did pursue Plaintiff after she ended the relationship. Further, Winer, McKenna & Burritt, LLP found witnesses who supported Plaintiff's claim that she was retaliated against by the perpetrator, after the relationship broke up.
RESULT: Settlement on behalf of Plaintiff for $300,000
