Executive Assistant Pursued by Married Supervisor with a Crush

A 39-year old female executive assistant for a life insurance company was harassed by her immediate supervisor. This married supervisor developed a crush on plaintiff and began an unwelcome pursuit of her based upon his gross balance of power and her fear of losing her job. After she complained to HR, she was forced to transfer while the supervisor remained in his position. Eventually she was told to consider a separation package and to leave the company.

Winer, McKenna & Burritt was well-prepared to take this case to trial, but were able to convince the employer to settle.

RESULT: $500,000
