Confidential Settlements

Many of the significant changes in the way that companies, doctors and schools do business came from clients who were willing to come forward, take on large companies, doctors, and the educational community, sometimes putting the interests of society in general in front of their own interests. Winer, McKenna, Burritt & Tillis LLP would like to thank these clients for their bravery and selflessness.

Many other clients have taken the brave step of coming forward in a lawsuit, but preferred to have their privacy protected, feeling that bringing the case or filing the lawsuit alone was a significant statement and would help bring on change in the particular company, doctor or other defendant that they were suing. Winer, McKenna, Burritt & Tillis LLP would also like to thank these clients and will always respect their desire for privacy.

Thus, to protect the privacy of our former clients, the cases do not contain the actual names of the plaintiff and defendants. As much as possible, we have attempted to include a description of the plaintiff and defendant in the title or summary of the case, but must respect the privacy wishes of our clients and confidential settlement agreements. Other than not revealing the names of the parties, the information contained in the summaries is accurate.
